What is this?

This blog will be a running commentary on academic journals in sociology and closely related disciplines. As they are published I will provide a summary of what's inside-you will be able to come to this site, skim a few posts, and know roughly what's being talked about. Both tree and online journals will be covered, with the circle expanding as interest dictates. The goal is to balance a big-picture overview of the contents of the top tier journals with more detailed dips into interesting but easily missed publications or contributions.
